Mahjong Monsters Guide日本語

Fusion and evolution

Fusion feeds material (monsters or items, 5 slots in total) plus gold into a monster to raise its level. Evolution replaces a maxed-out monster with the next step of the same line.

How experience works

The experience needed for the next level is rarity factor × current level, where the factor is 10 (common), 15 (uncommon), 25 (rare), 40 (epic), 60 (legendary).

A monster used as material gives Lv1 value + increment × (Lv − 1), plus 0.5 × the experience it had earned, multiplied by the affinity bonus.

Each rarity step multiplies a material's worth by 5. Deeper dungeons drop higher rarities, so a lap deeper in also yields more experience.

Rarity Level cap Experience to next level
Common 20 10 × Lv
Uncommon 30 15 × Lv
Rare 50 25 × Lv
Epic 70 40 × Lv
Legendary 99 60 × Lv
Item Experience granted
Fusion Powder (S) 100
Fusion Powder (M) 800
Fusion Powder (L) 9000
Glimmer Stone 100
Spirit Pearl 500
Sacred Orb 2000
Divine Crystal 10000
Family material A 100
Family material B 500

Affinity bonus

Feeding a monster from the same line (same family and element) gives ×2, and sharing just the family or just the element gives ×1.5. Otherwise ×1.

Evolution replaces the monster in place, so nothing is left over. A separately obtained lower-rarity monster from the same line feeds at ×2, so do not throw those away.

What evolution costs

The monster must be at its level cap. Then you pay the evolution stone, the family material and gold.

Epic needs Family material A ×1; legendary needs Family material A ×1 + Family material B ×1. Family materials drop in the dungeons where that family appears.

The level carries over — the old rarity's cap becomes the new monster's level. Experience resets to zero.

Evolves into Stone Family material Gold
Uncommon Glimmer Stone ×1 500
Rare Spirit Pearl ×1 2000
Epic Sacred Orb ×2 Family material A ×1 8000
Legendary Divine Crystal ×3 Family material A ×1 + Family material B ×1 30000

Spare evolution material

Evolution stones and family materials can be used as fusion material (a flat value, with no affinity bonus).

The stones the shop does not stock (Sacred Orb, Divine Crystal) and the family materials can be sold. The shop will not buy back the stones it sells, nor the fusion powders.
